Let’s see how much we can tackle in one day.
A smart marketing strategy is essential for any business. But sometimes you need a short, focused, goal-oriented session to get results fast.
The 1-Day Marketing Sprint is a virtual working session that jumpstarts a specific element of your marketing. You won’t end up with a strategic marketing plan or 100% polished copy, but you will walk away with concrete action items your team can implement to move the needle on your marketing goals.
Marketing elements we could undertake:
- Positioning – Create a clear statement of what problem you solve for whom (and how and where to leverage that message)
- Lead generation – Identify high-potential lead generation campaigns your team can execute within 60 days
- Campaign planning – Set a solid strategy for your next campaign so it brings value to your audience and you
- Website optimization – Pinpoint website changes that would help visitors better engage with you and your content
- Or another project that would accelerate your marketing success
What to expect during the 1-Day Marketing Sprint
Before the sprint
You’ll get a bit of homework ahead of time. Based on your goal for the day, I’ll ask questions about:
- Your ideal customer
- Your process and tools
- Your marketing assets (current and old)
- Your business and team strengths
- Your motivation for scheduling the sprint
- What you’d like to accomplish.
I’ll review everything, and then we’ll set a realistic goal for the day.
To make sure everyone’s on the same page before we meet, I’ll send a recap of the answers to your sprint team, along with the framework for the day.
During the sprint
Bring your A-game, because we’re going to be doing some fast processing. We’ll meet for 6 hours: 1/2 day, break for lunch, 1/2 day. I’ll lead the group through brainstorming and whiteboarding sessions specific to the goal. We’ll get as much on paper as possible and develop realistic, executable marketing ideas.
At the end of the day, you’ll have a list of (doable!) action items for your team to execute that will move your marketing forward.
After the sprint
You’ll get all the whiteboarding notes and a summary of key findings and action items.
At 3, 6 and 9 weeks post-sprint, we’ll have a check-in call (about an hour) to discuss progress and for you to ask questions about any action items you might be struggling with.
How to make the most of your 1-Day Marketing Sprint
Participants: We should have at least 3 attendees from your company who are willing and able to ignore their inbox while we meet. If your company is small enough, you can invite the whole crew.
Prep work: Take your pre-sprint homework seriously. This information sets the foundation for the day. Go to bed early the night before, and bring a sharp brain and open mind to the meeting.
Post-session: Your team will leave energized and excited to get moving on the action items from the day. And then they’ll look at their inbox. If you take the time for the sprint, you have to make the time for the implementation. I recommend a recap session the following morning to confirm responsibilities and due dates.
Pre-call: Not everyone who was at the sprint has to be on the check-in calls, but be sure to gather their input and questions beforehand.
Pricing
This focused 1-day workshop with follow-up is $5,000. If we get to the end of the sprint day and you don’t have specific strategies to implement, let me know, and I’ll refund your entire payment. This sprint is all about delivering value.
