The Thistle Class is my tribe. I’m a third generation Thistler, and now my kids (age 10 and 8) race with us on the local regatta circuit.
Other boats I’ve raced: J/70, Flying Scot, J/111, Lightning, 420, FJ, Laser, Vanguard 15, Jet 14, Sunfish, and probably some I can’t remember.
The opportunity doesn’t come around often for me, but bareboat cruising in Caribbean waters is the best vacation, hands down.
